Skin illness

a skin illness (medical term: Dermatose) is an illness of the skin. Skin diseases are treated by a dermatologist (skin physician).

Also illnesses of the things of appendix of skin (hair, nails, tallow and sweat glands) are ranked among the skin diseases, since these also structures of epidermaler descent called Adnexorgane are, even if they lie partially deeply in the dermis.

Dermatologists treat patients at some centers also with AIDS, when Venerologen represent also the classical sex diseases like the Syphilis, since these illnesses manifest themselves also at the skin, however no skin diseases in the actual sense. On the other hand also most diverse illnesses from the range of the Phlebologie or Angiologie with the Hautsymptomen resulting from it are arranged here like the Ulcus cruris.

No other organ of the human body exhibits a as high number at diseased changes as the skin, there the skin among other things as border organ of the human body to most varied influences from the inside and from the outside exposed is.

many skin diseases make attentive on itself, because the skin in the place looks differently than healthy skin. One speaks also of the so-called „Effloreszenzen “. One differentiates the Primäreffloreszenzen like e.g. Mark (Macula), Knötchen (Papel), Eiterknötchen (Pustel), Quaddel (Urtica), knot (Nodus) or Plaque of the Sekundäreffloreszenzen like e.g. Crust, tears (Fissur, Rhagade), shed (Squama), Ulcus. Some this Effloreszenzen are otherwise not remarkable, others however make also strong measurement feeling (itching, burning, pain).

there are causes like already above many different causes for skin diseases, which in addition also still cooperate can, in order to release a skin illness. So many humans have a hereditary assessment for the emergence by shed lichen or Neurodermitis, to be strengthened can this however e.g. by stress or another infection, besides the process of the illness can itself aggravate again by a bacterial or virale infection. With many skin diseases one does not know yet about the exact developing mechanism, whereby in many cases regularization disturbances of the immune system serve as a cause.

There are many „skin diseases “, e.g. are only cosmetically disturbing, otherwise however are completely harmless (e.g. seborrhoische Keratose or „age wart “).

Inflammatory skin diseases often disturb by itching or pain. Besides the psychological load rises with many patients, because they are very much stigmatisiert by the skin illness.

Some skin diseases, like e.g. Skin cancer, can untreatedly to death lead; the black skin cancer (malignant Melanom) is not welfarable in some cases also despite adequate treatment. Also many skin diseases can draw very serious therapies, which become problematic by their side effects then again.

easier skin diseases (like for example allergischer excursion) can be treated with entzündungshemmenden ointments or creams. Some of these ointments contain disinfecting components or Kortison and should because of their side effects be used only at short notice. The advantage is that the active substance works only, where it is needed; besides additional effects can be obtained by the correct choice of the basis (ointment, cream, paste, solution, lotion).

More serious skin diseases often do not respond to an exclusive restaurant therapy with ointments or creams. Here also systemic medicines become, e.g. in tablet form, uses, which have often side effects. Also infections of the skin by bacteria or viruses require the gift of antibiotics or similar means.

Skin cancer is often operated , also illuminated in advanced cases or treated with chemotherapy.
