Heavy Metal (English. „Heavy metal “) is a music direction, whose origins lie in the hard skirt of the 1970er.
The term Heavy Metal was introduced by the US-American journalist Lester Bangs and originates from the Song „fount ton game “the volumes steppe wolf, which became famous by the film „Easy Rider “. The music style cannot be called however yet Heavy Metal. The piece placed in the initial days quite appropriate the connection of heavy motorcycles and their sound (described in the text as “heavy metal more thunder”), to hard guitar music and a feeling from liberty urge and maladjustedness. Those to today most well-known representative of the commercial start times of the Heavy Metal are probably Black Sabbath, Judas praised, Manowar and Iron Maiden.
Under continuous advancement and the partial mixture with other music styles one speaks today actually only of Heavy Metal, if one means the variants leaned against the traditional kinds of play of the Metal from the 1970er and 1980ern. Otherwise one uses the shortened term Metal as over term of the different Substile.
