Hidalgo is north been appropriate for the capital a central Federal State of Mexico (1869 formed). It is designated after Miguel Hidalgo, which had initiated with its Grito de Dolores the independence fight of Mexico. It has 20,813 km ²and approx. 2,3 millions Inhabitant. Capital is Pachuca.
The most famous attraction of the state is the ruin place Tula, from which one assumes, it the capital of the Tolteken was.
The economy is mainly certain by the mining industry (silver, gold, lead, copper, zinc).
