Impulse
impulse (v. lat.: impellere = hit, propel, arrange; PPP impulsum) is located in the colloquial language for a drive or an impact somewhat to do to tackle or undertake.
In the scientific specialized terminology impulse has different meanings:
- In physics the impulse of a body is the product of its measures with its speed. See impulse (mechanics).
- In the electrical and communications technology one understands a brief by an impulse tension -, current, light or Radiowellensignal, for example with the impulse choice procedure with older telephones.
- In the psychology of the short or impression on the behavior of persons or person's groups, influencing at longer term.
