Inning at the wood is a municipality in the eastern district Erding (governmental district Upper Bavaria). Since 1978 Inning at the wood as well as the municipalities high pole thing , Kirchberg and stone churches forms the central administrative body stone churches.
The place is appropriate for hill-rich wood country in forest and, about 15 kilometers east the district town Erding. In the south the federal highway 388 leads past the place.
The partner municipality is Riffian with Meran.
