Iowa is the 29. Federal State of the USA. Entry into the union to 28. December 1846. Iowas senators are Chuck Grassley, R (until January 2005) and Tom Harkin, D (until January. 2009).

geography
Iowa borders in the north on Minnesota, in the west on Nebraska and South Dakota, in the south at Missouri, and in the east at Wisconsin and Illinois.
The Mississippi forms the eastern border of the state, equally the western border in the south of Sioux becomes town center by the Missouri and north of Sioux town centerby bend Sioux River in an educated manner. The topography of the state is characterized by curved levels. Löss - collections are along the west border. Some of these collections are several hundred meters thick. Among the few lakes naturally developed mirror-image-guessed/advised Lake, Lake rankOkoboji and west Lake Okoboji in the northwest Iowas.
The deepest point is Keokuk in southwest Iowa and the highest point is Hawkeye POINT. In relation to the surface the differences in height are small.
