Jaén (province)
the province Jaén (Spanish Provincia de Jaén) is one of the eight provinces of the autonomous region Andalusien in south Spain. The capital is Jaén.
It lies in the northeast Andalusiens and borders on thoselikewise Andalusian provinces Córdoba and Granada as well as to the provinces Ciudad material and Albacete.
The province extends over 13.484 km ², their number of inhabitants amounts to 660.284 persons (2005), on whom approximately 18% in the capital live. The population density amounts to 49 inhabitants per km ².
Although Jaén regards routistic one of the fewer well-known provinces of Spain is, the province has to offer some interesting objects of interest: It possesses four nature parks: the Sierra de Andújar, Despeñaperros, who read Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y much-read (it has the size of the region La Rioja) and the Sierra Mágina as well as further protected areas. In addition are in Jaén two important Renaissance - cities, i.e. Úbeda and Baeza.
