Jack Lesberg

Jack Lesberg (* 14. February 1920 in bad clay/tone, Massachusetts; † 17. September 2005 in Englewood, new jersey) was well-known an US-American musician and as jazz bassist.


Jack Lesberg was one the most successful jazz bassists of the 1940er and 1950er. It played Benny Goodman (1946, 1967) with numerous large jazz musicians together, for example, Louis Armstrong (1947, 1949) and Tommy Dorsey (1950). It played also with classical orchestras, like the New York town center Symphony Orchestra.
