Turn of the century

Under Turn of the century (English turn OF the century) one understands generally the period of some years, into which one century changes in the next.
With sharper version there is the years with the last numbers 00 and 01, but most humans feel the change of the final number 99 on 00 (and the jump in the hundred hundred) as more important.

In special meant so far around the turn of the century the change of to - thus about the years 1896 to 1905. It was in a time with strong political and social changes - and at the same time very pronounced in and . Since the last turn of the century of to the term in mentioned above connection became outdated.
