Johanna brown (* 7. May 1929 in Magdeburg) is a German authoress

life

Johanna brown is the daughter of a Optikers. After the maturity examination she worked in different occupations, among other things as land female worker, secretary and talking document urine. Since 1969 it lives as a free authoress in Magdeburg.

Johanna brown is together with its man Günter brown author of an extensive erzählerischen work. While the author team predominantly wrote at first youth books, it was shifted later on Prosa for adult, in whom current problems were treated like the changing sex relations. Since center of the seventies-years the Science Fiction stands in the center of Johanna and Günter Brauns work. Since the two authors used the category frequently for the switching of society-critical contents and let the line loyalty demanded in the GDR literature miss, a set of books of the Brauns could appear only in the Federal Republic in the eighties-years.

With their man Johanna kept brown among other things common the following honors: 1969 the art price of the district Magdeburg, 1985 the Phantastik price of the city Wetzlar, 1988 the promotion price of the Marburger of literary award as well as 1990 the Phantastik price “dream master”.
