Joseph bank Rhine (* 29. September 1895 Waterloo, Pa., † 20. February 1980 Hillsborough, N.C. ; The USA) was an US-American Parapsychologe

life
it studied at the University OF Chicago biology and worked as a biologist at west Virginia University. it went to 1927 to the Duke University into Durham (North Carolina), where it since 1929 as a professor taught. Together with William McDougall it created there 1935 that world-wide first parapsychologische laboratory, whose leader became he. It operated many research to the Aussersinnlichen perception (ASW) and Psychokinese also together his Mrs. Louisa Ella Rhine. At the time of its death Rhine president of the Society was for Psychical Research (followed of its wife).
