Joshua leather mountain
Joshua leather mountain (* 23. May 1925 in Montclair, new jersey, the USA) is an US-American micro biologist and Genetiker.
Leather mountain was from 1947 to 1954 a professor in Madison (Wisconsin), afterwards in Palo Alto (Californien).
it could prove 1952 that bacteriophages of parts can transfer bacteria of a towards COM to another bacterium (transduction)
in the same year introduced it the term Plasmid for the circular DNA available beside the Hauptchromsosomen .
it received 1958 together with George W. Beadle and Edward L. Tatum for its discoveries over genetic new combinations and organization of the genetic material with bacteria the Nobelpreis for physiology or medicine.
