Geografie

Kötz lies in the region Danube Iller.

The following Gemarkungen exist: Ebersbach, Grosskötz, Kleinkötz.

history

Grosskötz belonged to the Mark county Burgau belonging to Austria. Since the peace treaties of Brünn and press castle 1805 the place belongs to Bavaria. In Kleinkötz against it the Patrizier wood apple of Herxheim prevailed to 1806, whereby they divided the lane court with the realm pin bet living. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria the municipalities Grosskötz and Kleinkötz with the municipality edict of 1818, which united to 1972 voluntarily, developed. The municipality Ebersbach became 1978 in in common December.
