Kataklysmentheorie

the Kataklysmentheorie (lat. cataclysmus too griech. kataklysmos: Inundation) designates a geoscientific doctrine 18. and 19. Century, which itself the sequence observed within the layers of the earth's crust world-wide disasters (Kataklysmen), repeated of organisms and partnerships as result of, (see Katastrophismus) with following in each case new creation thought.

The most exposed representative of the Kataklysmentheorie was a French scientist Georges Cuvier.
