Class (biology)
the class is a hierarchical stage of biological systematics. It further divided in over class and subclass. Sometimes additionally the term Infraklasse is used, if a Taxon between subclass and putting above is necessary.

the position of Chimären, dinosaurs and Pterosauriern as own class or members of the classes of cartilage fish and/or reptiles is stillnot finally clarified.
Between the class and the over class in systematics still the row is placed.
