Knoxville (threshing floor lake)

Knoxville is an US-American city in the US Federal State threshing floor lake with 178.118 inhabitants. It is thereby the third biggest city in threshing floor lake.

Since 2004 the republican is Bill Haslam mayor of the city. The previous mayor Victor ash (term of office: 16 years) in June 2004 US Ambassador in Poland was appointed.

In the southeast of the city it crosses the French Broad River, which flows on after North Carolina and flows into the getting clay/tone River.

history

Knoxville was created 1791 and designated after the war state State of by George Washington , Henry Knox. When the State of threshing floor lake the USA joined 1797, Knoxville was determined as its capital. In the year 1815 Murfreesboro became the new capital of the Federal State.

World-wide celebrity attained Knoxville by the adjustment of the world exhibition in the year 1982. From at that time one of the landmarks of the city, the sun ball ( Sunsphere) comes.
