Kockumskran
of the Kockumskran (schwed. Kockumskranen) was a 138 meter high gantry crane with a carrying capacity of 1500 tons threw Kockums in Malmö. The 1973/1974 established Kockumskran, which was dismantled in the summer 2002, was not only one of the largest cranes of the world, but also a landmark of Malmö.
After the completion was short threw affected by an economic calm air, so that the crane could hardly be used. The last mark it was used 1997, in order to raise and ship the foundations for the Öresundbrücke. A sales of the crane was decided already at the beginning of the 1990er years, but went the Danish buyer into insolvency. Finally the crane was sold at Hyundai in South Korea.
