Tolna [ˈtolnɒ] is a Komitat (administrative district) in the southern central Hungary. It borders on the Komitate Fejér, Bács Kiskun, Baranya and Somogy. It has a surfaceof 3.703 km ² and (2001) 253,038 inhabitants. The Komitatssitz is Szekszárd, other cities is Tolna and Paks, where a disputed nuclear power station stands.
the area is hilly and becomes from the northern Ausläufern of the Mecsek- Pulled through mountains. To the Danube , which forms the east border of the Komitats, the country drops flat.
