Lääni
a Lääni (Swedish län) is a regional administrative unit in Finland. 1997 was reduced the twelve Lääni to six (including the autonomous Åland).
The Lääni according to Finnish model corresponds as far as possible to that of the Län in Sweden and divides the country into regionsfor the national administration. Each Lääni is again in landscapes (maakunta / land cape) partitioned, which serve local co-operation as regional partitioning for the level.
