Geografie
the district wolf oh lay in the southwest of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Its neighbour circles were beginning in the clockwise direction in the north open castle, joy city, Rottweil, Villingen, Emmendingen and Lahr.
Geographically the district had wolf oh portion of the Black Forest. The district town lay for instance in the center of the district.
history
the area of the later district wolf oh belonged to the prince of prince mountain 1800 ago to different rule, under it mainly. 1803 came the area at bathing, that first several offices, under it the offices and/or. From the increased office for district wolf oh then 1939 the district developed wolf oh, the still two further municipalities of the district Lahr and/or. Open castle received. he returned however the municipality prince brook to 1945 the district Lahr.
After the education of the country Baden-Wuerttemberg 1952 the district belonged wolf oh to the governmental district south bathing. With effect of the 1. January 1973 was dissolved the district wolf oh. Its municipalities came up to the majority in the again formed Ortenaukreis , which became thereby legal successor of the district wolf oh. Four municipalities in the southeast circle area came however to the increased district Rottweil, two further municipalities in the northeast to the increased district joy city.

the coat of arms of the district wolf oh showed a presented standing red Doppelhaken (wolf fishing rod) in sign divided diagonally left by black and gold. The coat of arms became the district wolf oh to 30. March 1960 of the ministry of the Interior Baden-Wuerttemberg lent.
The Doppelhaken was taken from the coat of arms of the district town wolf oh, which leads the wolf hook of the former Mr. von Wolfach again as “talking” coat of arms. The sign colors correspond to the national colors of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

To 7. March 1968 initiated the federal state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg the development of a municipality reform. With the law for the stabilization of the clerk of smaller municipalities it was possible that smaller municipalities could unite voluntarily to larger municipalities. The beginning in the district wolf oh made at the 1. July 1971 the municipality installation oh, which united with the city house oh. In the future the number of the municipalities constantly reduced, until the district was finally dissolved wolf oh 1973.
Largest municipality of the district was the city Haslach in the Kinzigtal, smallest municipality was upperduck PUCB oh.
