the first documentaryMention Langsurs is in the year 978, when archbishop Egbert of Trier gave the Gemarkung Langsur of the church of the holy Maternus in Trier. In the following centuries Langsur belonged successively to Lotharingien, Luxembourg, Burgund and Prussia. The border situation to Luxembourg existssince the Viennese congress 1815, in whose consequence the sour as border river one determined.
