Max fount
max fount (* 11. December 1882 in Breslau; † 5. January 1970 in Goettingen) was a German mathematician and physicist.

lives and work
max fount studied mathematics and attained a doctorate 1906 with David Hilbert in Goettingen. Here it concerned itself among other things with the consequences Albert Einsteins relativity theory on the physics of firm bodies and with the theoryatomic crystal lattices. Concerning this it published 1915 the book dynamics of the crystal lattices. He became an extraordinary professor for theoretical physics in Berlin, where he with Max Planck, Albert Einstein and Walther Nernst co-operated.
Was from 1921 to 1933 itProfessor in Goettingen. Here it developed and others with Wolfgang Pauli, Werner Heisenberg and Pascual Jordan large parts of modern quantum mechanics. Among most important successes the boron burl home he approximation ranks, which led in the year 1928 to the orbital model. It developed those statistic interpretation of the wave function, which admits later than Kopenhagener interpretation became and for which it 1954 the Nobelpreis for physics received. 1948 were already lent to it the Max-Planck medal.

Apart from its physical investigationsmax tried again and again to provide fount with speeches about philosophical and socio-political hearing. Like that it was 1957 co-signatories of the Göttinger of communist manifesto, which turned against the atomic armament of the German Federal Armed Forces. In this connection it hasrepeated referred to the important role, which played his Mrs. Hedwig for the development and examination of its own points of view. With it together he wrote and others the book “the luxury of the conscience - experiences and insights in the nuclear era” (1958).
