Morvan
of the Morvan is a granite massif in the region Burgund (Bourgogne) in the eastern France. It extends over the Départements Saône et Loire, Nièvre and Côte d'Or.

the region of the Morvan belonged geologically to the Massif cent ral and is called also “La montagne noire” (black mountains). This name agitates from the close mixed woodlands and the large heath surfaces, which are coined/shaped by fern and broom mainly.
