The Nauruan national soccer team is one of the few international crew sport selections of the Republic of Nauru, however it is not certified to official elimination plays like the WM-qualification. The national team is most important organ Nauru amateur Soccer Association (NASA).

the Nauruan football federation NASA was created and fristet in the year 1973 since that time outside of of Nauru a nearly completely inconspicuous existence. The federation was recognized so far neither of the FIFA nor of the OFC as official national football federation, since there are no stages in Nauru except some Spielflächen and an incomplete sports stadium; the only semifinished stadium (Menen stage), which in accordance with FIFA statutes as football stadium apply could, due to missing funds momentarily one does not further-build. The two further “stages” are either only for football suitably (Linkbelt oval) or fundamental no stadium (Denig stage).

To 2. October 1994 denied the Nauruan national soccer team a friendship game in the Denig stage in Denigomodu against the selection of the Salomonen, the only play, which was recognized of the OFC and thus also officially could be evaluated. Nauru won the play completely surprisingly with 2:1 and provided thereby for one of the largest sport sensations of the country, because the salomonische national soccer team was despite their small play class clear favorite, won it nevertheless in the same year the Melanesi Fussballcup. Thus the Nauruan crew has nevertheless something that all other national teams do not have: a 100%-Siegesbilanz.
