Nehrung
a Nehrung is a narrow, mostly sandiger land strip, which separates a flat part of the sea from the open water. A Nehrung results from sand drifting. A balance coast develops. The part separated from the sea is called lagoon , Haff or Bodden and contains by supply of fresh watermostly brackish water.
Large Nehrungen in the Baltic Sea is the freshness Nehrung in Poland and the Kuri Nehrung between Klaipėda and Kaliningrad.
