Niels Viggo Bentzon

Niels Viggo Bentzon (* 24. August 1919 in Copenhagen; † 25. April 2000 ebd.) was a Danish composer and pianist.

The cousin of Jørgen Bentzon studied 1938 to 1942 at the conservatoire of Copenhagen piano, organ and composition. It worked starting from 1947 in Århus and starting from 1949 in Copenhagen as a teacher. The extremely productive composer - it left over six hundred works - took up the stylistic and technical innovations of the modern music.
