Nightwish is Finnish volume. The style of Nightwish combines the classically trained, operaful singing of their singer with Symphonic Metal and Power Metal with a strong key board - impact. With some pieces also influences from other style directions are to be recognized, so among other things Heavy Metal with Know Why The Nightingale sing or Industrial Metal with DEAD Gardens. The style that becomes frequent volume falsely also as Gothic Metal designates.

history Nightwish in July 1996 of Tuomas Holopainen (key board and Songwriter), Tarja Turunen (singing) and Emppu Vuorinen (guitar) at one night at the campfire. After it Jukka Nevalainen (Schlagzeug ) pushed briefly in addition. After the first album those was extended volume with Sami Vänskä by a bassists. After these 2001 due to internal discrepancies with Holopainen the volume left, becameit by Marco Hietala (in former times with Sinergy) replaces. The name that volume was suggested by Holopainen and decreases/goes back to the title of a piece first Nightwish demos.

In the year 2000 Nightwish with the piece of Sleepwalker at the Finnish preliminary decision took Eurovision to the Song Contest2000 part. For the international final it was not enough however; those got volume with distance most spectator voices, by the jury however on the next to last place was selected, so that they landed finally on rank 2.

To 22. Octobers 2005 divided the volume members intoan open letter on their homepage also that they would have separated due to personal differences, particularly with their married man, Tarja Turunen, and now planned to continue with a new singer. The letter had been signed by all volume members and became T. Turunen in the eveningto the admission for the coming DVD end to OF at Era presented. T. Turunen likewise took position in an open letter in addition.[1]

To the separation from Tarja Turunen wants to go to Nightwish first two years into break, above all because Tuomas Holopainen take themselves timewants to write new pieces. This was already longer so planned, but is added now the necessity to find an appropriate successor for Tarja Turunen. To 2. June 2006 is in Europe the liveCD/DVD „ends to OF at Era “to appear, on which the last concert is to be contained together with Tarja. The DVD becomes additionally a picture gallery of this concertas well as the 55-minütige documentation “A Day Before Tomorrow” contains, in which the volume was accompanied the last 15 days before the concert. The documentation was cut by Timo halo, also for the “From the Wishes ton Eternity - Deleted Scenes” and film cutouts “end to OFInnocence " is responsible. Because of the law case that volume with Tarja Turunen and Marcelo Cabuli was not clear whether the CD/DVD will appear also in Finland. Now it is certain however that the CD/DVD will appear, since Cabuli does without a complaint.

Nightwish with a concert 2004

the Keyboarder Tuomas Holopainen became to 25. December 1976 born and lives at present in Kitee, Finland. It plays since its respected Lebensjahr piano and since the ninth Lebensjahr clarinet; beyond that it studied music theory at a college of music, wherehe also a diploma put down. Holopainen is initial member and Songwriter that volume.

Marco Hietala became to 14. January 1966 born. He took over 2002 with twenty-year-old experience the part of the bassists. The Emppu Vuorinen (actually Erno Vuorinen), resident in Kerava (Finland), became to 24. June 1978 born. At the age of twelve years he taught himself to guitar plays. After the school it begana study at a college of music in Finland.

Jukka Nevalainen is the Drummer that volume and plays already since the fifth class Schlagzeug. It became to 21. April 1978 born and lives in Joensuu, Finland.

Tarja Turunen is a former singer von Nightwish. It becameto 17. August 1977 in Finland born and lives in Helsinki. It completed classical singing training among other things at the college of music Karlsruhe. Up to its separation from that volume applied for it often a majority of the attention around the volume, with some fans becameNightwish even proper on it reduces.
