Nippon system

the Nippon system (Japanese: 日本式 Nihon shiki) is a Transkriptionsystem for the Japanese writing. 1881 of the scientist Tanakadate Aikitsu (田中館愛橘) as modified version of the Hepburn system was introduced, in order to eliminate some logical weaknesses of this system. It in Japan officially preferred, in practice is however substantially more common the Hepburn system.
