The northIrish national soccer team is a typical representative of the British football. Northern Ireland belongs politically to the united kingdom and traditionally plays the national players in the professional leagues of England.

the northIrish football federation was created already 1880 and joined 1911 the FIFA .

- Northern Ireland one drew into the group 1 and met there on title defenders Germany, the strong Argentinier and Czechoslovakia. After a 1:0 victory over the Czechs and a 1:3 defeat against Argentina, played the crew in an exciting play 2:2 against Germany.
