the pc. - Johannis church, a field stone church with wood bell stand, was built 1198.

The coat of arms dividing green three-mountain is to refer to the moved topography of this landscape area. The opened up golden book with ear in the sign foot reminds of the Landwirtschaftsschule (1839/45 1850), formerly existing in Oersberg, which is the oldest of the country after Flottbek and Rendsburg. The three Laubblätter it symbolize the local parts Arrild, Oersberg and Toestrup. The golden (yellow) background refers to the meaning of the agriculture with flowering RWS fields.
