Oil is one Christian Thrashmetalband out Long Beach, California. The members are Ron Rinehart (singers, ex Dark fishing rod), Blake Nelson (guitar) and Jason Vander Pal (schlagzeug). They published a eponymes Debutalbum in 1997. 2000 the second album came (Refine) and in the year 2003 the third album Choice CUTS off The Chopping block (a live album).

In the year 2004 Ron Rinehart left this volume around Dark fishing rod to revive. The other volume members look for a new singer.
