Pierre Carpenter

Pierre Joseph Guillaume Carpenter (* 19. March 1782 in Paris; † 29. October 1853 ebd. ; Birth year as per. PND 1785; also Zimmerman) were an important French piano paedagogue and composer.

Carpenter studied de Paris starting from 1798 at the Conservatoire with François Adrien Boïeldieu and Luigi Cherubini. From 1811 to 1848 it worked there as a piano teacher.
