Pouilly Fuissé
Pouilly Fuissé is an important Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for weisswein in the Mâconnais, Burgund. Because of the foot of the famous rock of Solutré are the villages Solutré Pouilly, Fuissé, Chaintré and Vergisson. The rock cliffs of Solutré and Vergisson mark the end limestone - plateaus, on which all Burgunder with exception of the Beaujolais grows. The wines of the area will bring body-rich wines to vines GEC ELT ore from Chardonnay and out. In the oak barrel matured wines can mature and remind in the bottle still well later of roasted almonds and Haselnussaromen. Otherwise the wines are very fresh and very blumig. Due to the popularity in the United States these wines in particular achieve a similar price level as a Chablis.
