Pouilly Fuissé

Pouilly Fuissé is an important Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for weisswein in the Mâconnais, Burgund. Because of the foot of the famous rock of Solutré are the villages Solutré Pouilly, Fuissé, Chaintré and Vergisson. The rock cliffs of Solutré and Vergisson mark the end limestone - plateaus, on which all Burgunder with exception of the Beaujolais grows. In the oak barrel matured wines can mature and remind in the bottle still well later of roasted almonds and Haselnussaromen. Otherwise the wines are very fresh and very blumig.
