the regional course (RB) in Germany is a course kind of the suburban traffic, which replaced the classical Nahverkehrszug (N). It mostly serves all stations and critical points at a railroad line.
In most Lands of the Federal Republic regional courses on fixed lines operate in the hour clock in the system of an integrated clock timetable. They mostly carry names within a Land of the Federal Republic. Its short designations (course kind and number) are fastened in and at the courses.
On many secondary line distances the regional course represents the only railway traffic.
