personal record
Remaclus was monk in Luxeuil, when Eligius 632 as the abbott of monastery Solignac appointed it. As it then a king Sigibert III. the right granted to create an abbey established Remaclus even two of it, i.e. the monasteries Stablo and Malmedy. These were awarded however different Diözesen, (Stablo the bishop von Lüttich and Malmedy the archbishop of Cologne), which led to a longer coexistence in discord.
Remaclus was buried in Stablo.
