Juliette Binoche plays itself young Nina, from the country come to Paris, when actress tries and omits also no opportunity to an affair. When Quentin under puzzling circumstances has an accident deadly, Nina wants to experience more over the man, in whose spell she stands still. It meets the director Scrutzler (Jean Louis Trintignant), whose daughter at the time as it with Quentin as Romeo the Julia played, likewise under mysteriösen circumstances died.
