Renzow is a municipality in the south of the district Nordwestmecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The municipality is administered by the office Lützow Lübstorf with seat in the municipality Lützow.
Geografie
the municipality Renzow is to about 18 km east the state capital Schwerin because of the upper run of the river sign. The easily hilly environment (to 70 m and. NN) is determined by fields, meadows and small forests.
history
1230 was called for the first time the place as Ranzowe in a tenth register.
In the year 1708 the buyer Jacob Kaspar Mueller leased the office Gammelin and bought to 1714 the manor largely Renzow. The large baroque property plant possessed already in the year 1770 partially this very day a received property park after French model. It received permission for establishing glassworks, which it created at different places in Mecklenburg from the Schweriner duke Karl Leopold for 1.000 Thaler and 500 Dukaten.
In the year 2005 the last received wing of the large manor-house was torn off.
The former parts of large and small Renzow form a property for the 30's. The agriculture plays also today still another important role in the municipality. On each first September weekend a driving tournament takes place in Renzow, in which horse sportsmen from several Lands of the Federal Republic participate.
