History
The history of the young Land of the Federal Republic
Rhineland-Palatinate developed after that The Second World War from that formerly Bavarian Pfalz, from the southern portion of the Rhine country (governmental districts Koblenz and Trier of the former Prussian Rhine province), from that formerly too Hessen darmstadt due province Rhinehesse, from parts of the Prussian province Hessen Nassau and from that formerly oldenburgischen Area over Birkenfeld.
In accordance with the resolutions that Potsdamer conference went to 15. July 1945 the crew sovereignty in the area of the today's Rhineland-Palatinate of the Americans on the Frenchmen over. These arranged the area first provisionally into two "upper presidencies" Rheinland Hessen Nassau (for the so far Prussian governmental districts and/or. Areas Koblenz, Trier and Montabaur) and Hessen Pfalz (for the Bavarian Pfalz and the before Hessen-intestine-urban Rhinehesse). The country Rhineland-Palatinate became to 30. August 1946 by regulation of the French military government production, whereby historically and economically matching areas (Koblenz Bonn, Rhine Main) of the former Prussian Rhine province were separated. A binding of the likewise French administered Saarland did not become certified from the French military government. To 22. November theatre the constituent meeting of the "advisory state meeting" took place in the Koblenzer. The constituent meeting of the first Rhineland-Palatinian Federal state parliament took place to 4. June 1947 in the large city hall hall of Koblenz, which was now (until 1950) the first capital of the new country. Dr. William soil became here first Prime Minister by Rhineland-Palatinate selected. During the tuning of 19. January 1975 in none of the regions concerned a majority for a reorganisation (and also not the necessary quorum of 25 % of the voters) was reached. Thus a conclusion conclusion was drawn under a discussion for many decades.
