Richard Burns
Richard Burns (* 17. January 1971 in Reading, England; ? 25. November 2005 in London, England) was in RallyeWorld champion.
With eight years it made on a field behind its house with that Triumph 2000 its father the first driving attempts. With eleven years began it in an autoclub for under 17-Jaehrige to drive and became 1984 Driver of the yearly. Later its father an attendance of January Churchill made two years for it possible Welsh Forest Rally School in the proximity of Newtown. Burns began 1990 those Peugeot Challenge to drive, after him David Williams a Peugeot 205 GTI bought. In the same year it drove also for the first time a run to the Rallye world championship into Great Britain.
1993 it changed to Subaru Rallye team. It drove together with its team colleague Alistair McRae the British championship. With victories with four runs he became the youngest British Rallye master.
1998 it won with one Mitsubishi Carisma with that Safari Rallye for the first time a world championship run. To 25. It won November 2001 as first Englishmen the Rallye world championship with the at that time PeugeotWerksteam.
In November 2003 became with it Brain tumor, Astrozytom, diagnosed, after it Black Outs with that Rallye Wales had. Through Irradiation and Chemotherapy tried he, to heal the cancer. The therapies it called still in April 2005 "very successfully". To 25. November 2005, four years after the profit of the world championship, he deceased at this brain tumor.
