Roberta Flack

Roberta Flack (* 10. February 1939 in Asheville, North Carolina), is an US-American Soulsängerin, Pianistin and a Songschreiberin

Flack studied Musikpädagogik and prepared for a classical pianist career. At the same time it played in Washington night clubs. Ihren Durchbruch im Popbereich erlebte sie, als Clint Eastwood 1971 die Ballade "The first Time ever I saw your Face" (von Ewan MacColl) für seinen Spielfilm "Sadistico" auswählte.
