the sports club red white upper living Rhine country is Sportverein in upper living, to 18. Table of contents
as 1963 the soccer federal league the play enterprise took up, was red white upper living not also from the portion. The association was assigned to the regional league west and brought there six play times too, until 1969 under the coach Adi Preissler the west championship and afterwards the ascent succeeded into the federal league, where one could hold oneself four years up to the season 1972/73. Best placing was rank 14 in the season 1969/70. 1970/71 were complicated the association into the federal league scandal. The coach at that time Günther Brocker became therefore closed. For positive headlines against it Lothar Kobluhn provided as a goal scorer king of the season 1970/71.
After the descent 1973 the immediate reclimb in the play time 1973/74 was scarcely missed (place 2 in the regional league west and in the following ascent round). The first play time in the again created second league north ended 1975 for the association with the descent into the Drittklassigkeit. The reclimb glückte in the season 1978/79, at the same time reached RWO the quarter final in the DFB cup and separated there with a 1:2 - defeat with unity Frankfurt .
After two play times upper living the now single-railed second league had however already ascend 1981 to again leave, could 1983 again and maintain ground five years in the class, before 1988 a Lizenzentzug banished the association again in the amateur camp.
Without an adequate cadre RWO could not hold itself 1988/89 in the upper league north Rhine in the season and into the federation league Niederrhein “was through-handed”. In the following year escaped the association only conceivablly scarcely the renewed descent - only the gate difference protected the red-white the fall into the national league.
RWO obtained largest cup success in the season 1998/1999 with the reaching of the semi-final. The “Heimspiel” in the Gelsenkirchener park stadium against Bavaria Munich was lost then however to 1:3. A further important cup play in gel churches gave it to at the beginning of of 2002, when RWO in the quarter final in the arena on Schalke lost against the hosts with 0:2. The spectator numbers of these cup plays, 48,000 against Bavaria and/or. 54.000 against Schalke, might remain for long time record backgrounds of the Oberhausener. With both cup highlights the crew was by the way cared for by coach Aleksandar Ristic, which was gotten in the play times 1998/99 and 2001/02 by the strongly in each case descent-threatened association as a “rescuer” and in both cases the class receipt to secure helped.
In the season 2003/2004 RWO with that stood for still unknown Jörn Andersen one long time at the point of the 2 up to then as a coach. Federal league, became (unofficial) autumn master, missed however at the end after a strong break-down in the back round the ascent into the highest German play class. The play time 2004/05 ran substantially more badly, Andersen was given time off and upper living prematurely occupied at the end under coach Eugen Hach only rank 16 and descended into the regional league north .
With a new coach (Harry Pless) and in view of the small budget clearly weaker cadre gotten RWO there a classical false start. To 5. September withdrew the executive committee of many years of the association closed as consequence for the catastrophic season start. Four months the sports club red white was led by an emergency executive committee and strove around the financial and sporty consolidation.
To 10.1.2006 an extraordinary took place meeting of the members, with which the past stood as a candidate team, which started the rescuer campaign and already carried some out for the association, for the supervisory board.
To the selected members belong: Hartmut Gieske (presidency), Werner Overbeck, Michael Dahms, dock Uwe Grossjohann and mayor Klaus Wehling.
The supervisory board ordered tags on it the following new executive committee: Dirk Buttler (presidency), Thorsten binders (organization and fan support), Hajo of summer (Events and marketing) and Thomas Dietz (sporty interests). A fifth position (finance management) is to be still after-occupied.
