Rudolf Raftl
Rudolf Raftl (* 7. February 1911 in Vienna; † 5. September 1994) was a Austrian football player on the position of the gate man.
Rudolf Raftl began its professional career with the Hertha Vienna in the year 1928. Already after one play season it changed however to the master and Mitropacupsieger at that time rapidly Vienna. The gate man completed altogether 174 championship plays for the Hütteldorfer. In the years 1934 and 1938 he became master with the crew. After the connection to the German Reich two further Meistertitel followed 1940 and 1941, this mark in the ostmark. Rapidly Vienna played however also successfully around the German Cup and the German championship also. In the year 1938 Rudolf Raftl won the German Cup with the green-white, in the year 1941 was located it in the gate with 4:3 - to victory in the championship final against Schalke 04 in the gate of the Rapidler. After end of the Second World War the gate man played still two Saisonen for the Vienna in the years 1946 to 1948.
Rudolf Raftl played altogether six international matches for Austria and reached among other things the 4. Place with the world championship 1934 in Italy. Its debut gave it 1933. After itself Austria could qualify for the world championship 1938 had one after the connection however without the participation to do, since the Austrian national team was dissolved. Instead Rudolf Raftl for the German Reich had to play. It completed all plays at the WM 1938 in France and was located until 1940 altogether to six times in the gate of the German national soccer team.
