the Saxonian state State of Dresden became to 22. September 1548 by cure prince Moritz of Saxonia based. To the guest conductors 2002/03/04 belongs among other things Georges Prêtre, Christian Thielemann, Sir John Eliot servant, Daniele Gatti, Myung Whun Chung, Kent Nagano, Charles Dutoit, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Harding and Sylvain Cambreling.
The orchestra members in „the chamber music of the Saxonian state chapel dedicate themselves to a continuous chamber music care with singular idealistic objective “, which decreases/goes back on the 1854 created „clay/tone artist association “.
Members of the Saxonian state chapel were and again and again also as virtuose soloists stepped out, for instance the seamists Anton Bernhard Fürstenau, Moritz Fürstenau, John Amans, kind of hitting a corner head, the bugler Peter Damm and the Cellisten Peter Bruns and Jan Vogler.

An extensive tour activity leads the Saxonian state chapel regularly into the music centers of Europe, North America and the Far East. Thus the orchestra gastiert in the years 2004 and 2005 in different German cities, in Japan, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Great Britain, Spain, in the USA, Greece, Hungary and France as well as with the festivals in Luzern, Edinburgh, London PROM, Salzburg, Prague, Bucharest and on the Kanari islands.
Berne pool of broadcasting corporations Haitink, which had taken over the position of the principal conductor inter+CIM-moderately after Giuseppe Sinopolis death, left prematurely in the year 2004 the orchestra. With the new election to the principal conductor 2004 it came to discrepancies with the choice and by it to the break with Berne pool of broadcasting corporations Haitink. Its last concert as a boss it gave in November 2004 in the framework to a tour in Vienna. In the year 2007 Fabio Luisi, the present boss of the MDR transfers - Sinfonieorchesters, the position of the principal conductor.
