The place is on 35 m high Altmoränen, so that it is well visible already from a distance.
history
the Gemeindegebiet, in which in before-historical time lawn iron ore was smelted, is settled for the Steinzeit. In the year 1352 the yard Koxbüll is duly mentioned as to the Schleswig cathedral chapter.
The name is derived from settlement of the Hakki or Hakkar . The name Süder chopping EDT was mentioned however only 1799. In the time the fields were divided (it verkoppelt) and the village developed to a scattered housing estate, i.e. that yards were shifted into the area around the local centre.
