Sank and RA at the Zicksee is a market municipality in the castle country in the district Neusiedl at the lake in Austria with 1.397 inhabitants.

The Hungarian place name of the municipality is Szent Andrés.

history

the place belonged like the entire castle country to 1920/21 to Hungary (German west Hungary). Since 1898 had to be used due to the Magyarisierungspolitik of the government in Budapest the Hungarian place name Szent Andrés. After end of the First World War German west Hungary in the contracts of pc. became after tough negotiations. Germain and Trianon 1919 Austria awarded. The place belongs since 1921 to the again created Land of the Federal Republic castle country (see also history of the castle country). Market municipality is sank and RA at the Zicksee since 2002 (by LGBl.Nr. 66/2002).

Zicksee

the Touristi attraction of the municipality is the Zicksee, at which a camping site as well as a bathing beach are. The lake is suitable very well for the Windsurfen.

politics

mayor are Erich Goldenitsch of the SPÖ, vice-mayors Martin luck of the ÖVP. Office leader is Gerhard Mollner.
