Battle with Vézeronce
It was the high point of the second campaign in the context of the Burgunderkriegs (523-524), that the Franconia kings Chlodomer, Childebert I. and Chlothar I. against the burgundischen king Sigismund had begun, which was guessed/advised during the first campaign in the year before after a defeat into Frankish shank.
In the year 524 Sigismunds brother Godomar II. began. with support of the Ostgotenkönig Theoderich the large one the back conquest of the country. It destroyed the garrison, which Franconias in Burgund had left, whereupon Chlodomer Sigismund and its family let kill (1. May 524) and to the counterstroke against Godomar drew back.
In the battle with Vézeronce the Frankish troops were struck by the allied Burgundern and Ostgoten. Chlodomer came thereby around the life, Franconias withdrew itself to it for first from Burgund.
