Shogakukan
Shogakukan (jap. 小学館 Shōgakukan) is a Japanese publishing house, which admits outside of Japan particularly for its large assortment at Manga is.
The publishing house was originally created 1922 by Takeo Oga as selling of school books. 1926 created Shogakukan the Shueisha - publishing house, from which again the Hakusensha - publishing house came out. Together with Shueisha established Shogakukan the Viz - publishing house in the USA. Momentarily Masahiro Oga, the grandchild of the founder leads, the publishing house.
The publishing house publishes nowadays still school books, in addition, Kinderbücher, encyclopedias, encyclopedias, Manga and a multiplicity of Manga magazines belong to the program. The first Manga magazine of the publishing house was Shōnen Sunday, which appears since weekly 1959. The publishing house lends the Shogakukan Award annually since 1956 at Manga draughtsmen.
