Silver star (medal)
of the Silver star is a medal of US armed forces for special bravery before the enemy. The Silver star is to be compared in for instance with the iron cross first class (EK I) of the “German Reich”. The original Citation star was added the volume of the respective ‚Campaign Medal `, which was lent for the respective campaign.
The Beliehene kept the Citation star lent for bravery during the employment/fight. From this then 1932 the donation of the Silver star resulted, to 15. December 1942 permission for the award at civilians was added, those with U.S. Troops in use were.
