Slim Harpo

Slim Harpo (actually James of moorlands; * 11 January 1924 in Lobdel, Louis IANA; ? 31. January 1970) was in US-MORE American BluesMusician, a Virtuose on the harmonica.

As an orphan Slim Harpo had to work already early hard. After the war it began, in the clubs of Baton rouge to appear as "Harmonica Slim". It accompanied its brother-in-law later Lightnin ' Slim both in the studio and with appearances.

1957 it took first own photographs. Its Debut single was mixes out I'm A King Bee and I Got Love If You want It. Affected of Jimmy Reed Slim Harpo brought out a set of hits, among them Rainin ' in My Heart (1961), I Love The Life I Live one, Buzzin ' (instrument valley), Little Queen Bee (1964) and Baby Scratch My bake (1966).

Slim Harpos hit I'm A King Bee and Shake Your Hips (1966) became later also of that Rolling Stones taken up. Further groups, the titles of Slim Harpo took up, were those Pretty Things, those Yardbirds and Them.

Slim Harpo was never a full time musician. Into that 1960ern it had its own transport enterprise. It died 1970 at a cardiac infarct. 1985 became it into those Blues resound to OF Fame taken up.
