Sloup v Moravském Krasu
Sloup is a municipality with 910 inhabitants (31. December 2003) in Tschechien. The place of pilgrimage is in the Mähri Karst, 7.5 km east of Rájec Jestřebí and belongs to the Okres Blansko .
The village is in 470 m height because of the confluence of the brooks Žďárná and Luha. In the south of the place the drying valley Pustý begins žleb. The Luha flows into the inside the Karstfläche, in which the Höhlensystem is Sloupsko šošůvské jeskyně. In the cave Kůlna, the part of this system is head bone by Neandertalern as well as bone of the cave bear, Hyänen and the Wollnashorn was found. Beside numerous caves, earth cases and breaks also salient Karstfelsen rules in Sloup.
